You Can Be Strong and Still Be Struggling

We’ve been taught that strength looks like composure. Bottling it up. Always be ready to give an answer. But real strength? It’s not about being untouched by life. It’s about being real in the midst of it.

Sometimes the people who seem the most resilient are the ones barely hanging on. They show up. They smile. They push through.

But inside, they’re stretched. Tired. Need time to regroup, or simply someone to say, “I've got you.”

What if strength isn’t about holding it all together, but being honest about what you’re carrying?

We forget that it’s possible to be capable and overwhelmed. Grateful and grieving. Determined and discouraged.

These aren’t contradictions. They’re human experiences.

The most resilient people I know are the ones willing to check in with themselves and ask: “Where am I pretending I’m fine?” And then brave enough to answer it honestly.

That’s the kind of strength that doesn’t just help us survive; it helps us connect, heal, and move forward with intention.

"Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is admit you're not okay." - Unknown

If that hits home, share it. Or save it for a day you need the reminder. Chances are, someone else does too.
